Aamir Khan Attempted to Resolve Ranveer Singh Don 3 Dispute, Says Ashoke Pandit
FWICE chief adviser Ashoke Pandit recently revealed that prominent industry members, including Aamir Khan, attempted to resolve the dispute surrounding Ranveer Singh's exit from 'Don 3' before the Federation of Western India Cine Employees intervened. According to Pandit, a producer and director approached FWICE with a complaint, stating they had invested approximately Rs 45 crores in pre-production. The filmmakers alleged that the lead actor exited the project just weeks before filming was set to commence. FWICE later issued and then withdrew a non-cooperation directive against the actor.

FWICE chief adviser Ashoke Pandit has shed light on the events leading to the Federation's involvement in the 'Don 3' controversy, stating that Aamir Khan and other industry figures tried to mediate the dispute involving Ranveer Singh.
Pandit told Hindi Rush that a producer and director lodged a complaint with FWICE. They informed the federation that approximately Rs 45 crores had been invested in pre-production. According to the filmmakers, the lead actor withdrew from the project just weeks before shooting was scheduled to begin.
FWICE initiated its standard procedure by attempting to contact Ranveer Singh to hear his perspective. Pandit stated that the federation did not receive a response from the actor, despite sending reminders for one and a half months. Subsequently, FWICE reviewed documents and reports submitted by the actor's auditors.
On the day FWICE was preparing to announce a non-cooperation directive, it received an email indicating that two representatives from the actor's team would meet them. Considering the matter serious, the federation proceeded with the directive. Pandit clarified that FWICE never imposed a ban on the actor.
He emphasized the importance of accountability for all individuals in the film industry, regardless of their role. Pandit stressed that no one should be able to abandon a committed project at the last moment without consequences. He also stated that if money has been spent due to a commitment, those losses should be reimbursed.
According to Bollywood Hungama, Pandit mentioned that efforts by figures like Aamir Khan to resolve the issue internally did not succeed before it escalated to FWICE's involvement.
