swsh, a platform designed to enhance fan engagement at live events, has completed a $4 million seed funding round. Game Changers Ventures, an early-stage venture firm focused on sports, media, entertainment, and technology, led the investment. Additional participants in the fundraise included Stellation Capital, SignalFire, and MaC Venture Capital. Prominent angel investors such as Scooter Braun, Guy Oseary, Julie Greenwald, Cory Levy, Hans Tung, Chris Detert, Shachar Scott, and Austin Rief also contributed.
The swsh platform enables fans to locate photos of themselves at events, upload user-generated content in bulk, and connect with other attendees online. It offers artists and other public figures a method to quickly acquire fan-created content for their social media channels, utilizing an AI-powered library of owned media. The company aims to provide a scalable solution for integrating user-generated content and fan-page strategies, which are considered crucial for artist promotion and online reach.
Currently, swsh is widely utilized in the music industry, particularly during artist tours, to capture performance videos from various perspectives. The company plans to extend its reach into other sectors where live experiences are central, such as collegiate sports. The newly secured funding is earmarked for accelerating the platform's adoption, particularly within the music and sports industries, and among global brands investing in experiential marketing. Additionally, the capital will be used for team expansion, product and infrastructure development, acquisition channels, and enterprise partnerships.
The co-founder and CEO of swsh, Alexandra Debow, stated that organizations often lack structured insights into audience participation and engagement after live events. swsh addresses this by transforming fan-captured content into shared albums, providing scalable content libraries and first-party engagement data. Roger Ehrenberg, managing partner at Game Changers Ventures, added that swsh provides infrastructure for capturing moments defining live culture, emphasizing the value of authentic human user-generated content in an era of AI-generated content.
