Alia Bhatt Stars in YRF Spy Universe Film 'Alpha' Teaser, Bobby Deol Trains Her for Mission

Yash Raj Films has unveiled the teaser for 'Alpha,' providing the first look at its female spy protagonist. The teaser, released on June 10, introduces Alia Bhatt in a trained operative role, prepared for a dangerous mission within the YRF Spy Universe.

The teaser establishes a dynamic between Bobby Deol and Alia Bhatt. Deol's character, affectionately called “Baba” by Alia, appears to have adopted and raised her with a singular purpose. On her 18th birthday, he presents her with a gift that signifies the start of a mission she has been preparing for since childhood. Deol's character reveals his aim to create a new generation of soldiers, molding Alia through intense training sessions, combat drills, and survival exercises. He consistently refers to her as “Alpha,” a title presented as significant to the film’s narrative.

The teaser features Alia Bhatt performing hand-to-hand combat and executing high-risk action sequences. The visual style and action choreography have drawn comparisons to global spy-action franchises, while maintaining the scale associated with the YRF Spy Universe.

While the central mission remains undisclosed, the teaser primarily focuses on Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol. The roles of other key cast members, including Sharvari and Anil Kapoor, have not yet been revealed. 'Alpha,' directed by Shiv Rawail, is the first female-led installment in the YRF Spy Universe, which also comprises franchises such as 'Tiger,' 'Pathaan,' and 'War'.

Reports have suggested a potential special appearance by Hrithik Roshan’s character Kabir Dhaliwal from the 'War' franchise; however, the filmmakers have not confirmed this speculation. The film is slated for release on July 3, with a full trailer expected in the coming weeks.
