Apple TV+ Shows Gain Acclaim While Service Lags in Audience Share
Apple TV+ has seen several original series, including "Severance," "Pachinko," "Silo," and "Ted Lasso," receive significant praise from both critics and audiences. Despite the success of these individual programs, the streaming service has not achieved a substantial overall audience footprint. Nielsen's most recent The Gauge report indicated that Apple TV+ did not rank among the top 10 most-used streaming services, trailing behind competitors such as Netflix, Disney+, and Tubi.
Apple TV+ has garnered critical and audience acclaim for a number of its original series over the past couple of years. Notable hits include "Severance," "Pachinko," "Silo," and "Ted Lasso," which have resonated positively with viewers and critics alike.
However, despite the success of these individual shows, Apple TV+'s overall audience size remains relatively small when compared to other major subscription streaming services.
According to Nielsen's most recent The Gauge report, Apple's streaming service once again failed to make the top 10 list of most-used streaming platforms. This suggests that its audience is smaller than not only Netflix and Disney+, but also other services like Tubi.
