Ariana Grande Launches Brighter Days Ahead Foundation for LGBTQ+ Rights and Mental Health

Ariana Grande, the Grammy-winning pop artist and Oscar-nominated actress, has launched a new charitable endeavor named the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation. The announcement was made by Grande on social media on Friday, June 12.

In her statement, Grande expressed excitement, noting that the foundation's mission is "to support, protect, and provide resources for our vulnerable friends in need." She further explained that the foundation will channel support through four distinct funds to various organizations providing essential services and safe spaces.

The foundation's funds include the Protect & Defend Fund, which aims to empower grassroots groups advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, civil rights, and reproductive justice. The Heal & Dream Fund is dedicated to expanding access to mental health care and community support. The Seen & Celebrated Fund will spotlight the voices and stories of the LGBTQ+ community, with grantees such as the Gender Liberation Movement, Glisten Rainbow Library, SAGE USA, TransLash, and Transanta.

The fourth fund, the Emergency Support Fund, will provide situational aid in response to urgent needs. Recent grantees of this fund include Humanity Crew, New York Cares, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Save the Children UK, This Is About Humanity, and Troop 6000. Grande commented on her personal history of supporting these causes, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to expand her reach and amplify the work of these organizations through the new foundation.
