BTS's 'Come Over' Tops Billboard's Favorite New Music Poll
Fans have voted BTS's recently debuted streaming track, "Come Over," as Billboard's favorite new music of the week. The K-pop group's song garnered over 86% of the votes in a poll published Friday, significantly outpacing other new releases. "Come Over" is an ARIRANG bonus track that made its streaming debut, accompanied by a lyric video released on YouTube.
BTS's "Come Over," an ARIRANG bonus track that recently debuted on streaming platforms, has been selected by fans as the top new music in Billboard's weekly poll. The K-pop group secured a landslide victory, capturing more than 86% of the votes by the poll's closing on Sunday.
Listeners participated in the poll, which was published on Billboard on Friday, June 12. "Come Over" outperformed new releases from several artists, including Olivia Rodrigo, Cultura Profética, Charles Wesley Godwin, KATSEYE, Jack White, and Bebe Rexha.
Previously exclusive to the physical deluxe vinyl edition of ARIRANG, "Come Over" premiered on streaming services on Friday. Its release coincided with BTS's annual fan celebration, Festa, and a lyric video for the track was uploaded to YouTube on the same day. The song features co-writing contributions from BTS members SUGA, RM, and j-hope, and was co-produced by Cirkut, SUGA, and Ammo. The track includes lyrics in both Korean and English, with the translated chorus conveying a plea for reconnection.
Olivia Rodrigo's album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love," which also debuted on Friday, secured the second position behind BTS's "Come Over." Rodrigo additionally released a new music video for her album track "Stupid Song."
According to Billboard, BTS ARMY played a significant role in maintaining the group's lead in the poll.
