CBFC Clears Alpha Songs 'Haniya Ve,' 'Massacre,' and 'Champagne'
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved three songs and a teaser for the highly anticipated film 'Alpha.' The cleared tracks include 'Haniya Ve,' 'Massacre,' and 'Champagne,' all of which received a U/A 16+ certificate. The film, part of the popular YRF Spy Universe, stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, and is now scheduled for release on July 3.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared multiple promotional assets for the upcoming film 'Alpha.' On June 11, the CBFC passed two songs, 'Haniya Ve,' running 3 minutes and 2 seconds, and 'Massacre,' which is 3 minutes and 6 seconds long. On the same day, a 1-minute and 2-second-long teaser was also cleared by the board.
Subsequently, on June 12, the song 'Champagne,' with a runtime of 2 minutes and 52 seconds, received clearance. All these assets, alongside a teaser of 'Alpha' that was released on June 10, have been issued a U/A 16+ certificate.
'Alpha' features a cast including Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, and is an installment within the YRF Spy Universe. The film is directed by Shiv Rawail, known for his work on the series 'The Railway Men.' Alia Bhatt's character in 'Alpha' is reportedly distinct from previous roles in the YRF Spy Universe, portraying an assassin rather than a spy.
The film's release date was previously preponed from July 10 to July 3. According to Bollywood Hungama, a senior trade source indicated that 'Alpha' marks a significant shift for the YRF Spy Universe by introducing an origin story with a lead character described as more 'grey' and an 'anti-hero' in tonality.
