China's Motorcycle Industry Urges Halt to Price Wars for Quality Growth
China's motorcycle industry trade body has called on companies across the sector to curb price wars and prioritize higher-quality growth. The appeal highlights concerns that widespread imitation and a proliferation of similar products are eroding profits. These practices are also reportedly harming the global reputation of Chinese manufacturing. The directive aims to foster sustainable development within the industry.

China's motorcycle industry trade body has issued an appeal to companies across the sector, urging them to halt price wars and instead focus on achieving higher-quality growth. The trade body indicated that prevalent imitation and an abundance of similar products are contributing to squeezed profits within the industry.
These issues are also reportedly negatively impacting the reputation of Chinese manufacturing on a global scale. As a prominent global exporter in the motorcycle sector, China's industry involves substantial production and international trade.
For example, facilities like Zhejiang Apollo Sports Technology Co., Ltd. in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, are involved in manufacturing four-wheel all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and electric off-road motorcycles. These products are prepared for export, with destinations including European and American markets.
According to Bloomberg Markets, the trade body's call underscores a strategic shift towards fostering more sustainable development and improving the industry's long-term market position.
