The service commenced today and is available in nearly 20 markets across the United States. Key cities included in this initial rollout are Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Nashville, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. New customers residing in these eligible areas can select the same-day Gateway router delivery option during the checkout process when subscribing to Xfinity internet services.
According to Comcast, the ordered equipment will be delivered directly to the customer's doorstep "within hours" of their confirmed purchase. Following delivery, customers can then proceed to set up these devices themselves to activate their new internet service.
