Dharma Productions Announces Malayalam Cinema Debut with 'Odiyan: The Age of Illusion'
Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Prithviraj Productions, has announced its entry into Malayalam cinema with the upcoming film 'Odiyan: The Age of Illusion'. The epic production is rooted in 19th-century Kerala folklore and cultural mythology, featuring a terrifying shape-shifter legend. Starring Manju Warrier and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the film marks a significant expansion for one of India's prominent film houses. Producers include Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Supriya Menon.

The film's narrative centers on a terrifying shape-shifter from Kerala legend. The plot involves this entity's fury descending upon a powerful matriarchal household, leading to a conflict between truth and illusion.
Karan Johar, Producer at Dharma Productions, expressed his long-standing admiration for Malayalam cinema, citing its craft, courage, and the trust filmmakers place in their audiences.
