Former Parramatta Council Boss Faces Sixth Day of Grilling in ICAC Probe
Gail Connolly, identified as a sacked former boss of Parramatta Council, is undergoing her sixth day of questioning as part of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) inquiry, known as Operation Navarra. She faces multiple allegations, including subverting recruitment practices, disclosing confidential information for her own benefit, and spying on council staff and an elected official.
Gail Connolly, the former boss of Parramatta Council, is facing her sixth day of questioning as part of an ongoing inquiry. The investigation, conducted by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), is dubbed Operation Navarra.
Connolly stands accused of several instances of misconduct during her tenure. Among the allegations are claims that she subverted recruitment practices within the council.
Additional accusations against Connolly include disclosing confidential information, allegedly for her personal benefit. She is also accused of spying on both council staff members and an elected official.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the former council boss has been undergoing intense scrutiny regarding these matters.
