Despite an early scare when Curacao equalized an initial German goal, Germany quickly regained control, with seven different players contributing to the scoreline.

Felix Nmecha opened the scoring for Germany in the sixth minute. However, Livano Comenencia of Curacao quickly equalized with a deflected strike, temporarily leveling the score. Germany soon reasserted their dominance, with Nico Schlotterbeck heading in a goal in the 38th minute, followed by Kai Havertz converting a penalty to give Germany a two-goal lead by halftime.
The second half saw Germany continue their offensive push. Jamal Musiala scored just 69 seconds into the half. Nathaniel Brown and substitute Deniz Undav also found the back of the net. Kai Havertz secured his second goal of the match, bringing Germany's tally to seven and replicating the scoreline from their 2014 semi-final against Brazil.
Manuel Neuer, at 40, became the oldest German player to feature in a World Cup, participating in his fifth global tournament. On the opposing side, 78-year-old Dick Advocaat marked his appearance as the oldest coach ever in the finals. Germany is set to face Ecuador and Ivory Coast in upcoming group matches.
