Guru Randhawa's Delhi Fitness Center Targeted in Firing, Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility
Shots were fired at a fitness center franchise owned by singer Guru Randhawa in Paschim Vihar, outer Delhi, on Wednesday night. No casualties were reported in the incident. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the attack via social media, stating it was a warning to the singer for allegedly getting close to actor Salman Khan. Delhi Police have launched an investigation, verifying social media posts and examining CCTV footage.

A fitness center franchise belonging to singer Guru Randhawa in the Paschim Vihar area of outer Delhi was the target of a firing incident on Wednesday night. Authorities confirmed that no casualties resulted from the attack.
Following the incident, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility through social media. A gang member, Anil Pandit, posted a statement indicating that the outlet, part of Randhawa's '24HS Fitness' chain, was targeted as a direct warning to the singer. Pandit's post asserted that the action was taken because Randhawa was allegedly "getting very close to Salman Khan."
Delhi Police responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. Their efforts include verifying the authenticity of the social media posts and questioning the gym's local owner. Initial findings suggest that two men on a bike, with faces covered, fired multiple rounds at the premises before fleeing. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is currently being examined.
The Bishnoi gang's animosity towards actor Salman Khan dates back to a 1998 blackbuck poaching incident in Rajasthan. Khan was accused of hunting two blackbucks, an animal considered sacred by the Bishnoi community. Co-actors from the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain,' including Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam, were also named in the case.
A Jodhpur court convicted Salman Khan in 2018, sentencing him to five years in prison, while the other accused were acquitted due to insufficient evidence. Salman Khan was later granted bail and has since challenged his conviction, with the Rajasthan government also appealing the acquittals of the other individuals. The gang has consistently issued threats against Salman Khan and his associates in the years following the incident.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the gang has continued to issue threats against Salman Khan and individuals associated with him since the 1998 incident.
