Hong Kong Privacy Watchdog Inaugurates Data Privacy Academy
Hong Kong's privacy watchdog has launched a new data privacy academy, an initiative aimed at aligning with the national strategy to position the city as an international hub for high-calibre talent. The announcement was made on Tuesday by Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Ada Chung Lai-ling during the 30th Anniversary Privacy Protection Summit. Chung also indicated that her office is committed to implementing and supporting the city's inaugural five-year plan.

In addition to the academy's launch, Commissioner Chung stated that her office would also strive to implement and provide support for the city’s first five-year plan, further integrating privacy protection into Hong Kong’s strategic development.
