Kangana Ranaut's 'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata' Declared Tax-Free in Haryana
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced that Kangana Ranaut's latest film, 'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata', will be tax-free in the state. The decision followed a special screening in Chandigarh, where CM Saini praised the film's motivational message. This move is expected to make the film more accessible to audiences by reducing ticket prices, providing a potential boost amid stiff competition from other releases and ongoing promotional offers, including a nationwide 'Buy 1 Get 1 Free' scheme.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has declared Kangana Ranaut's film 'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata' tax-free across the state. The announcement was made after the Chief Minister attended a special screening of the movie in Chandigarh on Sunday evening.
Kangana Ranaut was present at the screening, where she welcomed CM Saini and briefed him about the film prior to its viewing. Following the screening, CM Saini commended the film's message, describing it as motivational and stating that such films should be seen by a wider audience. He indicated that the film inspires individuals and makes them aware of their duties, leading to the tax-exempt status in Haryana.
The tax-free status is anticipated to lower ticket prices, thereby increasing the film's accessibility for viewers throughout Haryana. Films that are considered socially relevant or educational are often granted such exemptions.
This development comes as 'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata' navigates a competitive box office landscape, contending with various new releases and established titles. The film's makers have also launched promotional efforts, including a 'Buy 1 Get 1 Free' ticket offer nationwide on June 13, available via BookMyShow with the code "Bharat," aiming to attract larger family audiences. Despite these initiatives, the film faces competition; for instance, the Hollywood thriller 'Obsession' reportedly collected Rs. 3.50 crore on its fifteenth day, surpassing several newer releases, including 'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata'.
The Haryana government's decision could offer a significant boost to the film's performance in the region, reflecting a positive reception from the state's leadership during the special screening.
According to Bollywood Hungama, with the tax exemption and promotional offers in place, the film's creators are hoping for an expanded audience reach in the coming days.
