Madonna's upcoming track, "Bizarre," was previewed this past weekend during Martin Garrix's concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The song is slated to be featured on Madonna's "Confessions II" album, which is scheduled for release on July 3.
Garrix incorporated "Bizarre" into his performance on Saturday, June 13, enhancing the debut with a pulsing dance beat and a light show utilizing pink and purple hues, colors associated with the "Confessions II" era. This event was part of Garrix's Americas Tour, marking the third of a three-night engagement at Barclays. The day after the concert, Garrix shared a video of the song's sneak peek from Saturday's performance on Instagram. Madonna is heard singing the hook, "Who knew love could be so bizarre? Only love could be so bizarre."
"Bizarre" is the tenth track on "Confessions II," a 16-song collection, and the fourth song to be teased ahead of the album's July release. Earlier previews included the album opener "I Feel So Free" and "Bring Your Love," a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, both released in April. "Love Sensation" followed in early June.
"Confessions II" serves as a sequel to Madonna's 2005 album, "Confessions on a Dance Floor." This new project sees her reuniting with producer Stuart Price and marks her first album release since returning to Warner Records. It is also her first new album in several years, following "Madame X," which topped the Billboard 200 chart in 2019.
Madonna has also been active with other releases, including "CONFESSIONS II – The Film," which premiered at the Tribeca Festival in New York City and is now available on YouTube. Additionally, she performed a surprise pop-up show in Times Square in early June to celebrate Pride Month, coinciding with the official launch of the new venue The Square on Broadway and 47th Street.
