Maverick Games' Clutch Blends Forza Elements with High-Octane Action
Maverick Games, a studio composed of former Forza Horizon developers, is creating a new racing title called Clutch. The game aims to combine track and street racing, drawing inspiration from both Forza Horizon's open-world driving and Forza Motorsport's circuit competition. Featuring professional motorist siblings Theo and Cass, the narrative involves a fictional R1K tournament on the French Riviera and delves into the racing scene's underworld, incorporating action sequences reminiscent of the Fast & Furious franchise.

Maverick Games, a development studio formed by former members of Playground Games (known for the Forza Horizon series), is developing a new racing game titled 'Clutch'. The upcoming title reportedly blends elements from both the Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport franchises, offering both closed-off circuit competition and open-world driving experiences.
The game centers around professional motorist siblings Theo and Cass, who are participating in the fictional R1K tournament set along the French Riviera. Their involvement in the tournament leads them into the more illicit aspects of the racing world.
Clutch is also described as incorporating high-stakes action beyond traditional racing. An example provided involved Theo driving an Aston Martin Valhalla, breaking through a luxury condo's windows, firing a harpoon at a helicopter, and subsequently engaging in a chase with law enforcement.
Clutch is scheduled for release in 2027 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, according to information from an hour-long hands-off preview. (Source: GameSpot)
