Musician Oliver Tree Dead at 32 Following Brazil Helicopter Crash

Musician and internet personality Oliver Tree has died at the age of 32 following a helicopter crash in Southwest Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The incident, which occurred today, involved two helicopters and resulted in the deaths of six individuals.

According to CNN Brazil, as cited by the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro, Oliver Tree was among those killed. The other individuals confirmed to have died in the crash include pilot Alexandre Souza, Argentine content creator Gaspar Prim (known as Gaspi), Lucas Vignale, and Lucas Brito Chaves, all of whom were passengers in one helicopter. The second helicopter had pilot Charles Marsillac aboard. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.

Oliver Tree, known for his unique persona and hits like "Life Goes On" and "Miss You," began his career as "Tree" in the early 2010s. He later collaborated with artists such as Skrillex and Zeds Dead. His distinct online presence was further established with singles including "All I Got," "Welcome to LA," and "Cheapskate" in 2017, leading to his first studio album, *Ugly is Beautiful*. His YouTube channel boasts 6.85 million subscribers, with the music video for "Life Goes On" accumulating 465 million views.

Tree was scheduled to embark on an additional string of shows as part of a tour, with performances set to begin on July 1 in Lisbon. His latest record, *Love You Madly Hate You Badly*, was released on April 24, 2026.

Following the news of his death, several collaborators and friends, including musician bbno$, H3H3 creator Ethan Klein, and artist Kid Cudi, shared tributes on social media, expressing profound grief and remembering Tree's creativity and unique personality.
