New Juventus Director Reportedly Targets Liverpool Pair, Italian Players
Reports from Italy indicate that new Juventus director Giovanni Carnevali is aiming to sign a core of Italian players for the club. Among his reported targets are Liverpool's Federico Chiesa and Giovanni Leoni, along with Fiorentina's Cher Ndour and Sassuolo's Domenico Berardi. This strategy is intended to help coach Luciano Spalletti establish a strong team identity for the upcoming season.
New Juventus director Giovanni Carnevali is reportedly looking to build a strong core of Italian players at the Allianz Stadium. This initiative is aimed at assisting coach Luciano Spalletti in creating a robust team identity for the next season.
According to reports from Italian publications La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport, Carnevali's targets include Federico Chiesa and Giovanni Leoni, both currently with Liverpool. Chiesa has previously expressed an openness to returning to Juventus. Leoni, however, had an unfortunate debut season at Liverpool, suffering a cruciate ligament injury that sidelined him for the entire campaign.
Juventus is also said to be monitoring Fiorentina's Cher Ndour, who recently made his senior Italy debut under Silvio Baldini. Fiorentina reportedly views Ndour as a key player for their future, although Juventus could potentially offer Fabio Miretti in a player-plus-cash swap deal. Additionally, Sassuolo's Domenico Berardi is reportedly a target, potentially reuniting with Carnevali.
