Norway Crown Princess' Stepson Sentenced to Four Years for Rape, Domestic Violence
Marius Borg Hoiby, the 29-year-old stepson of Norway's Crown Prince Haakon, has been sentenced to four years in prison. An Oslo court delivered the ruling on Monday, finding him guilty of two counts of rape, one count of domestic violence, and other offenses. Hoiby was acquitted on two additional rape charges, having pleaded not guilty to the most severe accusations while admitting to some lesser ones.

An Oslo court on Monday sentenced Marius Borg Hoiby, the stepson of Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon, to four years in prison. The 29-year-old was found guilty of two counts of rape, one count of domestic violence, and several other crimes.
Hoiby had pleaded not guilty to the most serious accusations, which included rape. However, he admitted to some lesser charges during the proceedings. The court also acquitted him on two other counts of rape.
Marius Borg Hoiby became a part of the Norwegian royal family in 2001, when his mother, Mette-Marit, married Crown Prince Haakon.
According to the South China Morning Post, Hoiby can appeal the decision.
