Nottingham Forest Prepares €25M Bid for Davide Frattesi, Inter Milan Seeks €30M
Nottingham Forest is reportedly preparing a €25 million bid for Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi. Inter, however, is holding firm on its €30 million valuation, creating a €5 million gap that remains a key obstacle in potential transfer negotiations. This latest approach signifies a renewed effort by the English club to sign the Italian international.
Nottingham Forest is reportedly preparing a €25 million bid for Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi. Inter Milan is holding firm on its €30 million valuation for the player, resulting in a €5 million valuation gap that currently stands as the central obstacle to a potential deal.
Inter's position on Frattesi remains firm, consistently refusing to discount the player. There are no indications that their stance is softening ahead of this latest bid from Forest.
Frattesi's situation at Inter has involved a season of fringe involvement and limited minutes. His agent has openly sought a move for the player, and Inter itself is not opposed to a sale at the right price, especially given that Frattesi is under contract until 2028 and his market value may not be higher than it is currently.
This is not Nottingham Forest's first attempt to sign Frattesi. The English club was linked with a move in January, with discussions reportedly progressing before Inter's asking price halted negotiations. A loan-and-option structure was also explored in an earlier cycle, indicating long-standing interest from Forest.
Inter's valuation logic is based on several factors, including the €30 million they paid Sassuolo for Frattesi in 2023 and the three years remaining on his contract. Competition from Italian clubs such as Roma and Napoli, as well as reported links to Juventus, provide Inter with leverage to maintain their asking price.
According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Forest is readying a formal approach as the summer transfer window progresses. Forest will need to close the €5 million gap if they intend to secure Frattesi's transfer, as Inter has no apparent reason to lower their demands.
