Nvidia has finalized several agreements with companies in South Korea, a move that industry observers suggest provides a roadmap for the country to expand its influence in both the semiconductor and physical AI industries.
During his three-day trip to Seoul, which concluded recently, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang engaged in various discussions. The most notable agreement reached by Huang was with SK Telecom. This partnership aims to build substantial AI infrastructure within South Korea, a key component of which will be the establishment of AI factories.
An AI factory is characterized as a data center designed to run an end-to-end operational system. This system is engineered for the continuous collection and processing of data, serving as a critical hub for advanced AI operations.
According to South China Morning Post, these collaborations are expected to significantly contribute to the development of South Korea’s technological landscape.
