Onimusha: Way of the Sword PC Preorders Discounted Ahead of September 25 Launch

Onimusha: Way of the Sword, a new third-person action-adventure title from Capcom, is scheduled for release on September 25. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and the Switch 2 console.

Preorders for the game are currently open across multiple platforms. The Standard Edition is priced at $70, while a Steelbook Edition, featuring unique cover art, is available for $75. These physical editions can be preordered for PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2. The Switch 2 physical versions are Game Key-Card releases, requiring approximately 34.2GB of storage capacity for download.

For PC players, preorders placed via Fanatical are already discounted. The PC Standard Edition is available for $57.39, reduced from its original $70 price. The Digital Deluxe Edition for PC is priced at $65.59 (originally $80), and the Digital Premium Deluxe Edition is $73.89 (originally $90). Digital editions are also available at full price on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam.

All editions of Onimusha: Way of the Sword include certain preorder bonuses: the Lion Dog Charm, which provides a special effect to protagonist Musashi, and the Sealed Curse sword skin. Additionally, preordering the digital-only Deluxe or Premium Deluxe Editions unlocks the White Lion sword skin and White Monkey Charm.

The Digital Deluxe Edition further includes the Red Armor outfit for Musashi, the Crimson Lotus Oni Gauntlet, three additional charm items (Little Dancer Charm, Mentor Charm, Oni Lady Charm), and four weapon skins (Bamboo & Panda, Whittled Oar, Raizan, Enryuu).

The Digital Premium Deluxe Edition encompasses all content from the Deluxe Edition, a mini digital soundtrack, two extra equipment items (Hellfire Haori, Cloudbiter Haori), three bonus outfits for Okuni (Flower Dance, Goldfish Dance, Oni Dance), and three bonus outfits for Oni Lady (Bird Call, Snow Camellia, Elegance).

This title marks the first new game in the Onimusha series in 20 years. Players will control the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi on a journey through Edo period Kyoto. Musashi is equipped with a sentient gauntlet that allows him to consume souls of defeated enemies to enhance his skills against rival swordsmen and demons.
