Pakistan Army Secures Top Position at UK International Military Drill Competition
The Pakistan Army team, represented by the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), has achieved first position at the International Pace Sticking Competition 2026, held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom. The team made a clean sweep, securing the 1st Overall Team Trophy, Best Pace Sticker, and Best Driver awards. This marks a significant victory for the nine-member contingent, which arrived in the UK on June 5, competing against 16 international teams.
The Pakistan Army team has clinched the top position at the International Pace Sticking Competition 2026, held at the Royal Military Academy (RMA) Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
Represented by the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), the team secured all major honors, including the 1st Overall Team Trophy, Best Pace Sticker, and Best Driver awards. A nine-member contingent, led by Major Haider Gulzar, arrived in the UK on June 5 to participate in the event.
A total of 16 international teams from various armies participated in the annual competition. The victory reflects the professional training, excellence, and dedication maintained by the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
Pakistan previously won the International Pace Sticking Competition in 2020 for a third consecutive year, having first participated in the event in 2018.
In related achievements, a Pakistan Army team secured a gold medal at Exercise Cambrian Patrol-2025, held in Wales from October 3-13 last year. Pakistan also won gold medals at this exercise in 2024, 2017, 2016, and 2015.
