Pixel Phones Receive 'Bubbles' Multitasking Feature via June Drop
Google's June Pixel Drop has introduced the new 'Bubbles' multitasking feature for Pixel phones running Android 17. This functionality allows users to open up to five applications in floating bubbles, providing quick access and seamless switching without needing to exit the primary active app. The feature aims to enhance multitasking capabilities on supported Pixel devices by offering a more efficient workflow.
The June Pixel Drop has delivered a new multitasking feature called "Bubbles" to Pixel phones. This update is specifically available for all Pixel devices operating on Android 17.
"Bubbles" enables users to manage multiple applications simultaneously. The feature allows for opening up to five apps in a floating bubble format, providing quick and easy access without requiring users to navigate away from their currently active application.
To activate the feature, users can long-press any app icon, which will then open the application in a small, floating window. If a user taps out of the app, it will minimize itself into a smaller floating bubble on the screen, maintaining accessibility.
According to Android Authority, the June Pixel Drop's "Bubbles" feature is designed to streamline multitasking for Pixel users.
