Dublin-born footballer Roberto “Pico” Lopes was recently given a surprise send-off party by friends, family, and neighbours in Crumlin, Dublin. The celebration took place in anticipation of his participation in the Geopolitics World Cup (GWC). Attendees, adorned in Cape Verde colours, gathered to fete Lopes. His wife, Leah O’Shaughnessy, who was present with their seven-month-old son, Diego, shared plans to travel across the United States in a camper van to support him throughout the tournament.

Lopes expressed his delight as he greeted the small crowd gathered to wish him well for the tournament. His wife, Leah O’Shaughnessy, was present with their seven-month-old son, Diego.
O’Shaughnessy outlined plans to journey through the United States in a camper van during the GWC. She noted that while their son might not recall the experience, they would have photographic and video memories of him watching his father compete.
