Roma's Ryan Friedkin Commits €100 Million for Three Key Signings
Ryan Friedkin, a key figure at Roma, has reportedly committed a substantial €100 million investment earmarked for three high-profile player signings. This financial commitment aims to significantly enhance Roma's squad and addresses concerns previously voiced by manager Gian Piero Gasperini regarding team strengthening. The move is intended to provide clarity on the transfer budget as the club approaches crucial financial deadlines.
Ryan Friedkin has reportedly pledged a €100 million investment to bolster Roma's squad with three high-profile player signings. This commitment comes as manager Gian Piero Gasperini expressed a desire for clarity from the ownership to raise the team's competitive bar, particularly in light of rival uncertainties.
The substantial transfer budget, estimated at around €100 million excluding any capital gains, is being allocated towards specific targets. The club reportedly intends to spend €45 million on Mason Greenwood, with a final offer reportedly on the table. An additional €25 million is planned for Alajbegovic, and €30 million is designated to bring in Gianluca Scamacca.
Beyond these primary targets, Roma is also exploring options for a winger to replace Celik and Wesley. Names under consideration for this position include Zappacosta, Dodo, Carlos Augusto, and Favasuli. Gasperini's overall objective is to retain all key players and integrate at least two new signings by July 13, when pre-season work is scheduled to begin.
The investment decision also takes place with 18 days remaining until June 30, a critical date for Roma's settlement agreement with UEFA. Knowing the transfer budget is considered a significant development ahead of this deadline.
