Schlage Sense Pro UWB Smart Lock Launches June 29th
Schlage is set to release its first smart lock featuring ultra wideband (UWB) technology, the Schlage Sense Pro deadbolt, in the United States. Available starting June 29th, the lock will be priced at $399. This new device aims to offer a keyless entry experience, allowing users to unlock doors by simply approaching them with a compatible smart device.
The Schlage Sense Pro deadbolt, a smart lock incorporating ultra wideband (UWB) technology, will become available for purchase starting June 29th.
This UWB-enabled lock is designed to allow users to unlock their doors by merely approaching them with a supported device, such as a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch. It eliminates the need for physical keys or biometric scans, providing a hands-free entry method.
The Sense Pro utilizes Schlage's proprietary Converge technology for its UWB functionality. This system requires a home key on a compatible Apple device to calculate the user's speed, trajectory, and motion, enabling the door to unlock automatically upon arrival.
The product was initially announced at CES 2025. It will retail for $399 upon its release in the U.S. market.
According to The Verge, the launch follows more than a year since Schlage first announced its UWB-supporting smart lock.
