However, Senator Cornyn did not commit to backing Blanche's nomination to lead the Department of Justice. He stated that his decision on confirmation would be made after a briefing and Blanche's committee hearing.

Despite the positive description, Senator Cornyn refrained from committing his support for Blanche's nomination to serve as the head of the Department of Justice.
Senator Cornyn indicated that a final decision regarding Blanche's confirmation would not be made until further steps are completed. He specified that he would await a briefing and the conclusion of Blanche's hearing before the relevant committee.
According to The Hill, Senator Cornyn stated, "I will not make a decision on confirmation until after that briefing and completion of his hearing before the committee."
