Preorders for "Star Wars Zero Company," a new strategy game, are currently available ahead of its release on August 27. The game will be accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The title is a single-player, turn-based tactics game inspired by the XCOM series. Developed by Bit Reactor, a studio featuring former Firaxis developers, "Star Wars Zero Company" is set during the twilight of the Clone Wars. The narrative follows Hawks, a former Republic officer, as they navigate the galactic civil war. Players will join Hawks, along with original characters such as Clonetrooper Trick, Jedi Padawan Tel-Rea Vokoss, and Mandalorian Cly Kullervo, to pursue Kundri Fathom, the leader of a Separatist-aligned cult.
Customers who preorder any edition of "Star Wars Zero Company" will receive the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack. This bonus allows for customization of R-series droids with new colors, an R3 droid body, R-series heads, and the exclusive BR-1 droid.
The Standard Edition, priced at $60, includes the base game and the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack. Physical copies for PS5 and Xbox Series X are available for preorder at multiple retailers, while digital preorders are offered for console and PC.
The Digital Deluxe Edition, available for $50, expands on the base game with several cosmetic additions. These include a Republic Officer Uniform, a 100th Clone Company armor set, and an ARC Trooper armor set, all inspired by the Clone Wars. Additionally, this edition features the Shadow Collective pack, which contains Pyke helmets, tattoo cosmetics, and five themed weapon designs. Digital preorders for this edition are available for console and PC.
According to GameSpot, "Star Wars Zero Company" is among several highly anticipated games slated for release in the coming months.
