A Swedish court on Tuesday sentenced a 61-year-old man to four years and five months in prison. The conviction stems from charges of "aggravated pimping," attempted rape, assault, issuing threats, and a minor drug offence.
The court found that the man had "ruthlessly exploited" his wife by initiating her entry into prostitution. She was compelled to have sex with scores of men for payment, an exploitation that occurred over a period of three years.
The court stated that the man was responsible for initiating the woman’s involvement in prostitution, leading to her exploitation.
According to the South China Morning Post, the verdict was delivered by a Swedish court.
