From its release on June 5 through June 11, "I Knew It, I Knew You" accumulated 51.5 million streams and sold 91,000 downloads globally, according to Luminate. The song also debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.
This single is notably the second Global 200 No. 1 to originate from an animated Disney film and the first from its Pixar studio, as well as Swift's first from a movie. It follows "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from "Encanto," which topped the chart in 2022.

Drake’s "Janice STFU" dropped to No. 3 on the Global 200, while Michael Jackson’s "Billie Jean" fell to No. 4, and BTS’s "Swim" remained steady at No. 5.
