Preorders have commenced for "Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis," a comprehensive reimagining of Lara Croft's initial journey. The title is scheduled for release on February 12, 2027, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Players can choose from several editions. The Standard Edition is priced at $60, while the Deluxe Edition costs $70. A Collector's Edition, available for PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2, is priced at $200. The Deluxe and Collector's Editions offer up to 48-hour early access, allowing play to begin on February 10, 2027.
All physical and digital preorders include Lara's Survivor Outfit as an in-game skin, which is based on her appearance in the 2013 "Tomb Raider" reboot. Additionally, purchasing the physical Standard Edition via Amazon includes an exclusive fold-out poster. The Deluxe Edition further provides a post-launch DLC story pack and the "Parisian Outfit" for Lara. The Collector's Edition bundles all Deluxe Edition content with physical collectibles such as a Lara Croft vs. T-Rex statue, a Triumvirate Talisman keychain, a Croft Signet pin, a steelbook game case, and a mini art book.
Physical preorders for PS5 and Xbox are accessible through various major retailers. For the Nintendo Switch 2, preorders are currently live at GameStop, specifically for a Game Key-Card version. This format requires players to download the digital eShop version via an internet connection, as it does not include game data on a cartridge. The file size for the Switch 2 version has not yet been confirmed.
"Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis" was unveiled at the 2025 Game Awards, marking the 30th anniversary of the original "Tomb Raider." The game is co-developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog and built using Unreal Engine 5. It features updated environments, immersive sound design, modern gameplay mechanics, and new elements while maintaining the essence of the classic game.
According to GameSpot, an interview with the game's director, Daul Siquera, provided further insights into this reimagined adventure.
