Xia Baolong Commences Hong Kong Visit, Focuses on Housing and Technology
Xia Baolong, director of Beijing's Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, initiated a two-day visit to Hong Kong on Tuesday. The trip is centered on inspecting key projects across the city, with a particular emphasis on housing, technology, and Northern Metropolis developments. During his visit, Xia was accompanied by Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu and Secretary for Housing Winnie Ho Wing-yin, and greeted residents at a light public housing project in Yuen Long, which is part of a larger scheme to provide 30,000 housing units.

According to the South China Morning Post, Xia Baolong is Beijing's point man on Hong Kong affairs.
