Belarusian President Lukashenko Urges Russia and Ukraine to Seek Compromise to End War
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, a close ally of Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, has called for Russia and Ukraine to make compromises to end their ongoing conflict. In an interview published Monday, Lukashenko stated that the war has raged for over four years without a clear end in sight. He also indicated an openness to meeting with US President Donald Trump, noting that Belarus has been working to improve its relations with Washington.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has urged both Russia and Ukraine to find common ground and make compromises to bring an end to the protracted conflict between the two nations.
Lukashenko, considered one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s closest allies, made these remarks in an interview with Al Arabiya television, which was published on Monday. He highlighted that the war has persisted for more than four years, with no resolution immediately apparent.
During the same interview, the Belarusian leader also addressed his country's foreign relations, particularly with the United States. Lukashenko stated that he would not rule out the possibility of a meeting with US President Donald Trump, noting that his ex-Soviet state has been actively working to improve its ties with Washington.
According to South China Morning Post, the Belarusian President emphasized the need for a diplomatic solution.
