They also hinted at resentment toward the US government after being reportedly told to leave Los Angeles immediately. This instruction came after their 2-2 draw against New Zealand in a World Cup match on Monday night, despite the team's intention to stay overnight for recovery.

Iran's national football team coach, Amir Ghalenoei, has described his team as "the most oppressed" following an incident in Los Angeles. Ghalenoei, along with captain Mehdi Taremi and midfielder Mohammad Mohebi, reportedly voiced strong criticism of FIFA and hinted at discontent towards the US government.
The team was informed they needed to depart Los Angeles immediately after their 2-2 World Cup draw against New Zealand on Monday night. Coach Ghalenoei stated that the team had planned to remain overnight for recovery.
Captain Mehdi Taremi described the situation as a "disaster" for the team. FIFA president Gianni Infantino reportedly visited the team's dressing room, where the players directly communicated their concerns to him.
According to The Guardian Sport, the team's departure instructions followed their World Cup match.
