Brands Sponsor UFC Event on White House Lawn for Trump's Birthday
The UFC Freedom 250 event, celebrating former President Trump's birthday, was held on the White House South Lawn, featuring multiple corporate sponsors. Bud Light was designated the official beer for the $60 million mixed martial arts spectacle, which reportedly hosted 4,300 invite-only spectators and streamed exclusively on Paramount+. Other prominent sponsors included Monster Energy, Ram Trucks, Polymarket, Scotts Miracle-Gro, and Crypto.com. The event occurred amidst ongoing discussions about brand neutrality in political issues.

A UFC Freedom 250 mixed martial arts event, held on the White House South Lawn on Sunday, marked what has been described as the first commercial to air on the White House grounds. The event served as a birthday celebration for former President Trump.
Bud Light was designated the official beer for the spectacle, with its logo visibly displayed. Other brands sponsoring the event included Monster Energy, Ram Trucks, Polymarket, Scotts Miracle-Gro, and Crypto.com. Requests for comment from Bud Light and Scotts Miracle-Gro were not answered by the time of publication.
The event was a $60 million production, which hosted 4,300 invite-only spectators and was exclusively streamed on Paramount+. Paramount CEO David Ellison was present at the event, which took place days after the Justice Department approved his company's reported $111 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery.
This sponsorship occurs after a period where many brands have reportedly scaled back on politically perceived partnerships. According to a February eMarketer report, 56% of Americans stated that brands should maintain neutrality on political issues, a decrease from 63% the previous year. Bud Light's involvement follows a reported 2023 Dylan Mulvaney-related scandal that allegedly cost its parent company, AB InBev, $1 billion in sales.
Ram Trucks and Bud Light reportedly have existing partnerships with UFC, dating back to 2025 and 2023, respectively. During a post-match interview, fighter Josh Hokit made a statement, which was followed by laughter from interviewer Joe Rogan, with several brand logos visible in the background. A poll indicated that 16% of Americans found the event acceptable.
