Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is slated for release on October 15 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. A Nintendo Switch version is planned, with its release date yet to be disclosed. Preorders are currently open for both the Standard Edition and the digital-only Midnight Edition of the game.
All versions of Castlevania: Belmont's Curse preordered will feature an exclusive bonus: an Alucard-themed costume for Sonia Belmont. The Standard Edition is priced at $40 for a physical copy and $30 for its digital counterpart. Both Standard Edition versions include the preorder bonus.
The Midnight Edition, available digitally for $40, offers additional content beyond the base game. This includes a digital sound and art gallery, a Trevor Style costume, a Sypha Style costume, and a Family's Grace Relic. While a physical Midnight Edition will not be available in North America, other regions will see a physical version bundled with a steelbook. Certain retailers may also stock a Rose Belmont tarot card.
The game is described as a 2D action-adventure title set in Paris in 1499. Players will assume the role of Rose, the daughter of Trevor, who utilizes various weapons and Relics to combat monsters infesting the city. Gameplay features challenging boss encounters against figures such as Medusa, Death, and Joan of Arc. The whip serves both as a combat tool and for environmental traversal and puzzle-solving within its stylized Gothic art aesthetic.
Konami is collaborating with Motion Twin, the studio known for Dead Cells, on the development of Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.
According to GameSpot, preorders for the title are accessible through various retailers.
