Chinese Man Climbs 27th Floor After Mushroom-Induced Hallucinations
A man in China's Yunnan province, surnamed Xue, climbed out of his 27th-floor apartment window after consuming self-cooked jianshouqing mushrooms. He reportedly experienced hallucinations, believing his family was inviting him to "train himself to cross the tribulation and attain immortality," a concept often found in Chinese fantasy novels. Xue stated he unconsciously exited his flat via the window and descended a water pipe.

A man identified as Xue, residing in southwestern China's Yunnan province, reportedly climbed out of his 27th-floor apartment window. This incident occurred after he consumed self-cooked jianshouqing mushrooms at his home, which led to hallucinations.
Xue stated that during this experience, he believed his family was calling upon him to "train himself to cross the tribulation and attain immortality." He noted that this idea is a common theme in Chinese fantasy novels.
According to Xue, he unconsciously clambered out of his flat's window and proceeded to climb down a water pipe, sustaining scratches to his belly in the process.
