Crimson Desert Update Enhances Pet System, Adds New Features
Pearl Abyss has rolled out update 1.11.00 for Crimson Desert, significantly expanding the game's pet system. Players can now register up to 100 pets, with a maximum of 50 summonable at camp. The update also introduces a new system for shopkeepers to resell lost rare equipment, equips secondary characters Damiane and Oongka with new tools, and includes various quality-of-life improvements. These changes follow the game's recent milestone of selling 6 million copies in under three months.

Crimson Desert's latest patch, update 1.11.00, introduces substantial changes, further cementing its status as a pet simulator. Players can now register up to 100 pets through new challenges, a notable increase from previous limits. While up to 100 pets can be registered, a maximum of 50 pets can be summoned simultaneously at a player's camp.
Beyond pet enhancements, the update brings new functionalities for playable characters and in-game economy. Secondary characters Damiane and Oongka are now able to equip the Mining Drill and Chainsaw. Additionally, shopkeepers will begin collecting and reselling lost rare equipment. These items, acquired from treasure chests or quests, will be available for purchase at a higher price than their original value, typically within seven days of being lost.
The patch also includes several general improvements, such as enhancements to the pinball minigame, which now features lowered difficulty and adjusted physics. Other notable changes include pets retaining their names upon growth, Kuku bird and Wyvern eggs no longer being stackable, and mounts no longer being summoned in dangerous zones. Controller users can also now assign buttons for Inventory, Map, Skills, Journal, and Photo Mode.
These updates arrive shortly after Crimson Desert reached a significant sales milestone, having sold 6 million copies in less than three months since its launch. Pearl Abyss has consistently released updates for the game, contributing to improved sentiment among players. The company recently announced a summer roadmap of content and confirmed that downloadable content (DLC) is in development, alongside distributing performance bonuses to staff.
