Hong Kong Man Faces Murder Trial, Claims Girlfriend's Death Was Accidental During Weight Loss Attempt
A 29-year-old jobless man is currently on trial in Hong Kong, accused of murdering his 30-year-old girlfriend and illegally disposing of her body in 2022. Ng Ka-sing stands accused of the death of Yip Tsz-ching at their flat in Hung Shui Kiu. The defendant claims he mistakenly beat her to death while attempting to help her lose weight by keeping her awake at night.

A 29-year-old man, Ng Ka-sing, is standing trial at the High Court in Hong Kong on charges of murder and illegal disposal of a body.
Ng is accused of killing his 30-year-old girlfriend, Yip Tsz-ching, at their 700 sq ft flat in Galore Garden, Hung Shui Kiu, between April 28 and 29, 2022. He is also charged with the unlawful disposal of her remains.
The defendant, who is reportedly jobless, has claimed in court that he mistakenly beat his girlfriend to death. He stated this occurred while he was attempting to help her lose weight by keeping her awake during the night.
Ng Ka-sing had reportedly offered to plead guilty to a lesser charge.
