Iran Calls US Peace Talks Pointless After Israeli Strikes in Beirut
Iranian chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced on Sunday that there was "no point" in continuing peace talks with the United States. His statement followed recent Israeli strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs, specifically the Dahieh neighborhood. Ghalibaf criticized the United States, suggesting that its ally Israel's actions demonstrated a lack of American will or ability to uphold its commitments.

Iranian chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated on Sunday that further peace talks with the United States were futile. This declaration came after Israeli forces conducted strikes in Beirut's southern suburbs.
Speaking on social media, Ghalibaf specifically referenced what he termed "The Zionists’ aggression against Dahieh," a neighborhood within Beirut. He argued that these actions highlighted a significant shortcoming on the part of the United States.
Ghalibaf concluded that the events indicated the United States either "lacks the will to implement its commitments or lacks the ability to do so."
According to South China Morning Post, these comments underscore growing tensions in the region and impact diplomatic efforts.
