Jeffries Urges Rubio for Visa for Cape Verde Goalkeeper's Mother
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) has reportedly called on Secretary of State Marco Rubio to facilitate a visa for the mother of Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha. The appeal aims to allow Vozinha's mother to attend her son's upcoming FIFA World Cup match. This request follows Cape Verde's recent 0-0 draw against Spain in Atlanta.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Tuesday appealed to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, urging him to ensure that the mother of Cape Verde national team goalkeeper Vozinha receives a visa.
The purpose of the visa is to enable her attendance at her son's next FIFA World Cup match.
The request comes after Cape Verde's recent performance in the tournament, where they played to a 0-0 draw against Spain, a team identified as a pre-tournament favorite. That match took place on Monday in Atlanta.
