Liverpool Eyes PSG Forward Bradley Barcola Amid Transfer Activity
Liverpool is reportedly intensifying its transfer plans under new head coach Andoni Iraola, following the confirmed departures of key players like Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson. While Yan Diomande was previously a frontrunner, attention has now shifted to PSG's Bradley Barcola. A journalist claims Barcola has requested to leave PSG, potentially boosting Liverpool's efforts to sign the forward.
Liverpool's transfer activities are reportedly accelerating as the club embarks on a squad rebuild under its new head coach, Andoni Iraola. Confirmed exits include Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konate, all set to leave as free agents at the end of the current month.
The club has already secured the signing of Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes for £60 million, aiming to enhance its frontline. While RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande was previously identified as a potential replacement for Salah, reports now suggest movement regarding Liverpool's interest in Bradley Barcola from PSG.
According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, Barcola has asked to leave PSG this summer, citing stalled contract negotiations. Crook, speaking on YouTube, mentioned that both Liverpool and Arsenal are monitoring the 23-year-old forward's situation.
Barcola has been a notable performer for PSG, but he reportedly seeks a role as a first-choice option, which a move to Liverpool or Arsenal could offer. This could position him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah or a competitor for Cody Gakpo's left-wing position at Anfield.
In the 2024/25 season, Barcola achieved 21 goals and 21 assists across all competitions as PSG lifted the UEFA Champions League. Despite having limited opportunities this season, he has contributed 13 goals and seven assists across various competitions.
