The hide-and-seek paint game Meccha Chameleon has officially sold 2 million copies. Developer lemorion_1224 shared the sales update through a post on the game's Steam page and on X/Twitter.
To celebrate this milestone, a new map is scheduled to be added to the game later this week. The announcement from the developer expressed gratitude to the players.
Meccha Chameleon launched on PC via Steam on June 9. The game reached 1 million copies sold by June 13, highlighting a rapid increase in its player base and sales. Its all-time peak concurrent player count reached 132,154 hours before the sales update.
The game's premise involves players painting their pure white bodies to blend into environments, similar to a chameleon, to deceive seekers. Hiding spots, poses, and artistic skills are presented as key elements of gameplay.
Recent updates to Meccha Chameleon include version 1.2.2, which made adjustments to reduce motion sickness for players in the Hunter role and added a key to hide the "Missed Enemies" ranking.
