New Music Friday Features Olivia Rodrigo, BTS, Jack White, and More
This week's new music releases include Olivia Rodrigo's third album, *You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*, following her chart-topping singles. Global icons BTS have made their song "Come Over" available on streaming platforms, previously exclusive to a vinyl edition. Jack White has released "Dollar Bill," a new single from his forthcoming album, *Frozen Charlotte*, expected next month. Additionally, Bebe Rexha and alt-rock sibling band Infinity Song have launched new projects.
Olivia Rodrigo has released her anticipated third album, *You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*. The album follows the success of its lead single, "Drop Dead," which topped the Hot 100, and second single, "The Cure," which reached the top five. The project is divided into two sections, exploring themes of being "a girl so in love" and feelings of sadness. A standout track and third single, "Stupid Song," delves into the sensation of feeling foolish despite intense emotions.
In celebration of the 13th BTS Festa, a yearly festival for their fanbase, BTS has released their song "Come Over" on streaming services. The hip-hop track was previously only accessible as a bonus on the deluxe vinyl edition of the group's March album, *ARIRANG*. The song was co-written by SUGA, RM, and j-hope, among others, and co-produced by Grammy award winner Cirkut, SUGA, and Ammo.
Jack White has debuted a new single, "Dollar Bill," from his newly announced album, *Frozen Charlotte*, which is scheduled for release on July 10. The bluesy track begins with a western riff before transitioning into White's signature style, featuring lyrical riddles.
Pop singer Bebe Rexha, now independent and partnered with Empire, has released her first album since the transition, titled *Dirty Blonde*. The project largely consists of high-energy dance-pop, with the mid-tempo track "One Day" standing out for its honest lyrics, co-written by Rexha.
Alt-rock sibling band Infinity Song has released their self-titled debut album. The band stated that the album allowed them to develop individual strengths while maintaining the intimacy central to their music. They emphasized their upbringing, studying and performing music together, which fostered their harmonies and tightknit writing.
According to Billboard, these releases are among the key music entries anticipated to dominate playlists.
