Pierre Gasly Reinstated to Monaco Grand Prix Podium After F1 Timekeeping Error
Pierre Gasly has been reinstated to the Monaco Grand Prix podium following a decision by Formula One stewards. His Alpine team appealed two five-second penalties for pitlane speeding, which had initially demoted him from third to seventh place after last Sunday's race. Formula One, responsible for timekeeping, has since admitted a mistake was made with its measurements, leading to the reversal of the penalties.

Pierre Gasly was reinstated to the Monaco Grand Prix podium on Friday, following an appeal by his Alpine team.
Gasly had initially finished third on the track in last Sunday's race but was subsequently demoted to seventh place. This demotion resulted from two five-second penalties applied for alleged pitlane speeding.
Formula One stewards rescinded these penalties after recognizing an error in the timekeeping. Formula One, which is responsible for the sport's timekeeping, has since admitted that a mistake was made with its measurements.
According to The Guardian Sport, this decision restores Gasly's third-place finish.
