Steven Spielberg Scrapped Gershwin Project Featuring Colman Domingo
Three-time Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg revealed he scrapped a planned film project about famed Broadway duo Ira and George Gershwin, which would have starred two-time Academy Award-nominated actor Colman Domingo. The project, also associated with 'Porgy And Bess' in an original report, was abandoned before Spielberg and Domingo collaborated on the alien thriller "Disclosure Day". Spielberg stated he "decided not to continue making it."

Spielberg indicated his decision not to proceed with the film, stating, "I was going to make a movie about Ira and George Gershwin, and I decided not to continue making it."
