Steven Spielberg Scrapped Gershwin Project Featuring Colman Domingo

Three-time Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg recently disclosed he abandoned a film project that would have explored the lives and work of famed Broadway duo Ira and George Gershwin. The scrapped movie was also referred to as a film about 'Porgy And Bess'.

Two-time Academy Award-nominated actor Colman Domingo was slated to star in the project. This potential collaboration predates their eventual work together on the alien thriller "Disclosure Day."

Spielberg indicated his decision not to proceed with the film, stating, "I was going to make a movie about Ira and George Gershwin, and I decided not to continue making it."

According to Deadline Hollywood, the director made these remarks about the unproduced film.
