Serena and Venus Williams have been awarded a wildcard for the women's doubles draw at Wimbledon, signaling their return to competitive play together this month. The All England Club made the announcement on Tuesday morning, a decision that has garnered significant attention, particularly given Serena Williams's return after a four-year retirement period.
The Williams sisters boast an impressive record at Wimbledon, having won six women's doubles titles at the tournament. In addition to the Williams sisters, French Open finalist Chwalinska was also awarded a wildcard for the tournament.
According to The Guardian Sport, this marks a significant moment for the tennis world as the iconic duo prepares to compete once more on the grass courts of Wimbledon.
