G7 Allies Push Ukraine Back Onto Trump's Agenda
US allies at the Group of Seven (G7) summit on Tuesday sought to re-emphasize the ongoing war in Ukraine on President Donald Trump's agenda. The effort follows more than four years of conflict sparked by Russia’s full-scale invasion, a conflict which has recently been overshadowed by the Iran conflict. French President Emmanuel Macron indicated his intention to persuade President Trump to maintain support for Ukraine and intensify pressure on Russia to facilitate a peace agreement.

During the Group of Seven (G7) summit, US allies collectively worked on Tuesday to bring the war in Ukraine back to the forefront of President Donald Trump's priorities. This move comes after over four years of intense fighting, initiated by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The international focus has recently shifted, with the Iran conflict taking prominence and overshadowing developments in the war launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Host President Emmanuel Macron of France announced his plans to engage with President Trump. Macron aims to convince Trump to continue providing support to Ukraine and to increase diplomatic and economic pressure on Russia, with the ultimate goal of achieving a peace agreement.
